Valia Group was established in 1905 at Lathi & Bhavnagar (Gujarat) along with other family members and were market leaders in cotton and oilseeds. They also started manufacturing bicycle chains in 1955 in collaboration with a Czechoslovakian firm under the brand name of “VELO”.

M/s United Brothers Polytech LLP, a part of Valia Group of Companies, is a partnership company established in 1955 in Kolkata. The company was engaged in the business of cycles, cycle parts, non-ferrous metals and scrap, chemicals and polymers. It's sister concern, M/s Indian Base Metals Company Pvt. Ltd. was engaged in refining non-ferrous metal scraps in Kolkata. Another sister concern, M/s Tarajyot Pvt. Ltd. was the consignment stockist of IPCL for their polymer products since the inception of IPCL's polymer business in 1979. They were also engaged in importing polymers in Kolkata and Mumbai.
 

Presently, M/s United Brothers Polytech LLP is the Del-Credere Agent and Consignment Stockist of HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited since 2011 for their polymer products namely Polypropylene & Polyethylene produced by them at their Bhatinda (Punjab) plants for the region of Maharashtra, Daman, Silvassa and Goa.
